6 comparisons

Should you buy the other one?

Sometimes yes. These are the 6 brands people put next to us before they decide, and there is a full page on each one. Start with the thing that ought to make you suspicious: we wrote all 6 of them. A comparison written by one of the two sides is not neutral, and pretending otherwise would be the first dishonest thing on this site.

So read them the way you would read anything written by a seller, check what we conceded. Each page carries a block naming what the other brand does better, and closes with a note on what we could not fairly check. Those concessions are listed under every card below, before you click through, so you can see them without our introduction wrapped around them.

Four things a comparison here is not allowed to do

These are editing rules, not promises. You can check all four against any of the 6 tables in about a minute, which is the point of writing them down.

No unnamed rival

The homepage used to run a comparison table against “an ordinary flat pair”, a product nobody sells, invented so it would lose. Every column on this site now has a brand name at the top of it, and every one of those brands can read what we wrote.

No cell we could not check

Where a rival's arch support or waterproofing changes between one model and the next, the cell says “varies by model” rather than picking the worst version and calling it the brand. Count them: it is the most common answer in these tables.

No converted price

Every price row is Indian retail on both sides, because that is the only like-for-like available. If you are reading this from outside India, the figure on our product pages is yours and it already carries international shipping and duties handling.

No number we can't source

There is no percentage anywhere in these tables saying our foam outperforms theirs. We have no lab and no test report, so the rows compare things that can be read off a spec sheet or a policy page.

What we could not check, in our own words

One note closes each page. Here they are together, with nothing in between them.

OOFOS
We don't claim OOFOS is worse, it's a strong, established brand. Because it isn't sold directly in India, we mark price, COD and returns as varying by seller rather than guessing. Verify the exact model's specs and the seller's policy before you buy.
Crocs
Crocs is comfortable, durable and widely loved, we're not knocking it. Support and cushioning differ across its models and lines, so we say 'varies by model' rather than making a blanket claim. Check the specific Crocs model's spec sheet before comparing.
Doctor Extra Soft
Doctor Extra Soft is genuinely affordable and popular for good reason, we're not claiming it's poorly made. Its catalogue is large, so arch support and cushioning differ by model; we say 'varies by model' instead of generalising. Check the specific model's details on the listing before you buy.
Neeman's
Neeman's and Fanture aren't direct rivals, they're different categories, and Neeman's is a strong brand in its own. We compare use-cases, not winners. Check the specific Neeman's model's materials and fit before buying.
Bata
Bata is a trusted, enormous brand, we're not claiming it's worse. Its catalogue is so broad that most specs 'vary by model', which is exactly what we say. Compare the specific Bata model you're considering against a Fanture pair.
Skechers
Skechers is a strong comfort brand, we don't claim otherwise. It's mostly a different category (sneakers), so we compare use-cases and mark model-specific specs as varying. Check the exact Skechers model and seller policy before buying.

If you have read enough of us arguing with other brands

The more useful question is what floor you stand on all day, and that one we can answer without mentioning anybody else. Two people in Surat write every word here, including the paragraph telling you not to buy.
